Samsung Galaxy A51 Price and Specification |Samsung Giant

Chinese companies produce a huge amount of mid-range phones nearly every two or three months and these phones are perfect and cheap, so Samsung had to join this competition with a good specs phone at a low price and this is what Samsung had done.

After many leaks, Samsung finally announced the latest version of the A50, the Galaxy A51, which comes with some developments like Rear Camera, Front Camera, processor, and even the software. and what makes this phone is a good deal is a price, as this same comes with the same price as the Galaxy a50.

In 2019, The Galaxy A50 was one of the best mid-range phones you could buy as it has everything you want in your smartphone like the perfect cameras, a good processor and featuring design with a low budget then Samsung introduced an updated model after six months down the line in the Galaxy A50s, and now we have the Galaxy A51.

Samsung Galaxy A51 Design

if you own the Galaxy A50 or hear about it before, this article will be very similar to you. Actually, 70% of what I wrote in the A50 article 9 months ago is relevant for the A51, because the screen, the processor, and the battery are really close with tiny differences.

Design :-

The Galaxy A51 has a different design from the A50, So let’s start with the screen design, as you see the A51 comes with a featuring design with very tiny bezels and a small Infinity-O cutout for the front camera module like the Samsung S20 series. Also, the Galaxy A51 has no edges unlike most Samsung phones.

When you turn the phone to the other side, you will find a new design either. The first difference is the camera housing, but it’s not attractive at all as you will find the same design at most of Samsung phones.

Display :-

Samsung Galaxy A51 Display

The phone has a 6.5-inch Infinity-O Super AMOLED Full HD+ display with 2400×1080 Pixel resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio and as we know that Samsung Displays are really impressive, the screen is defined by high brightness and color accuracy up to 16 million colors.

So, the display is an instant win on paper, as many phone come with an LCD at the same price. The differences from the OLED and LCDs are very clear. The OLED has much deeper colors and has better contrast than LCDs because they use light-up pixels rather than a universal backlight.

The Galaxy A51 has a flat display with no edge-to-edge action. Also, the panch hole for the front camera is smaller than the A50 which comes with an Infinity-U display.

Performance :-

Samsung Galaxy A51

The Galaxy A51 is powered by the Exynos 9611(2.3 GHz), the same as the A50s. The A50 comes with Exynos 9610, the only difference from the 9610 is that it can facilitate 48MP camera modules. Both processors have the same set of cores and the Mail G72, and they’re both fabricated on a 10nm node.

To be honest, The Exynos 9611 isn’t the best processor at this price, as you will find some lags even while navigating the user interface, with actions like opening an app causing a hardly mentioned delay Also, if you are a Gamer you are gonna face some problems, as the Mali G72 isn’t the best choice for heavy games like PUBG and Fortnite. So, the SnapDragon 730 would be a better choice for you.

The Galaxy A51 is available with 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB and these versions are only available in India. Samsung will offer the Galaxy A51 with a 4GB option in other markets. Also, The Galaxy A51 supports a Micro SD that is up to 512GB.

Rear camera :-

Samsung Galaxy A51 Rear Camera

The Galaxy A51 comes with a quad-camera array at the back shaped in the letter L that looks different and unique till now.

Main camera :-

The Galaxy A51 has a 48-megapixel f/2.0 primary. The main camera doesn’t actually output 48MP photos. It uses pixel binning technology to output 12MP photos, and it takes great shots in daylight conditions. Low-light performance is certainly better than it was on the Galaxy A50, Dark shots often look blotchy and are low on detail.

The Night mode helps a bit. But only a bit, and it takes several seconds to finish the image. Resultant images have plenty of detail and decent dynamic range, and you get those saturated colors that define Samsung’s cameras.

Second camera :-

The Galaxy A51 has a 12-megapixel ultra-wide f/2.2 camera that has a 123-degree field of view(FOV). Fine texture detail is not in the same league as the native 12.2MP sensor of the Google Pixel 3a. There’s a processed look to images close up that’s not seen in the best-in-class camera phones, but general image quality is good.

Third Camera :-

This one is a 5-megapixel f/2.2 depth camera of its predecessor.

The last Camera :-

The Galaxy A51 also has the distinction of being Samsung’s first smartphone to feature a 5-megapixel f/2.4 macro camera.

Selfie Camera :-

Samsung Galaxy A51 Punch-Hole

The 32-megapixel front camera comes with an f/2.2 aperture that is useful for wide shooting and can record video in [email protected] the camera shots excellent images during the day.

Battery life :-

The Galaxy A51 comes with a large battery size”4000mAh” with 15W fast charging which enables you to charge 50% in 30 minutes. A 30-minute charge from flat took the phone to 31% battery, and a full charge will take around two hours.

And the battery lasts nearly all day with a little charge by the late evening. which is excellent for a large screen 6.5-inch size like Samsung galaxy A51.

As usual, the Galaxy A51 does not support wireless charging like most phones at this price. Actually, it would be a surprise if it did at the price.

Software :-

The Galaxy A51 runs One UI 2.0 based on Android 10 such as the S20 Series. Of course, the Android 10 is modified by Samsung after taken From Google, but are these modifications useful?

To be honest, the One UI interface is completely different from what Google offers, as Samsung modifies to very well and changes it alot to look better and easier to deal with.

The only problem you will face is that the Samsung interface is not smooth enough compared to the Google interface because of the modifications that Samsung makes on it.

Galaxy A51 Pros:-

  • Great and attractive design with a large screen, small bezels, and small hole punch for the front camera.
  • Good Rear Camera with a nice, sharp, and clear shots in daylight conditions.
  • The Infinity-O AMOLED Display is perfect at this phone with high resolution, high contrast, and saturated colors.
  • The battery is not bad and will last you all day with a little charge in the evening.
  • It supports the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Galaxy A51 cons:-

  • Some of One UI 2.0 features missing.
  • No improvement in battery size or charge speed over the Galaxy A50.
  • The back of the phone is made of plastic.
  • The Speaker is not good enough.
  • The Exynos 9611 isn’t this best choice for gaming experience and the SnapDragon 730 does much better results in gaming.

Final Thoughts Should You Buy it or Not?

In my opinion, Samsung has done a great job of manufacturing this phone. You will pay 270$ for this phone but you will get many specs like the perfect OLED display, Good quad cameras, Good design, and good battery size.

This is my opinion for normal people who use the phone for normal tasks like browsing the internet, playing videos, and taking shots, but if you are a gamer just leave this article because this is not a suitable phone for you.

You can buy many phones with the SnapDragon 730 like the Poco X2 or Realme X2. These phones are at the same price but will give you a better gaming experience.
